Visit with "Oma & grandpa Ric"

Out of order, but still good pics.

Jade is learning how to drive a tractor (at maybe 1 mile/hr, SOOOO SLOW)
"Grandpa Ric" (actually my uncle) giving the boys a ride.

naughty Potter.....had to spend the entire weekend outside or in a kennel.
Oma (my auntie)

Jade is actually driving the tractor. The kids had SUCH a fun time with this.
It was a wonderful and relaxing weekend away. Thank you auntie and uncle!

Eddie's world

This is half & half. NOT eddie aproved milk. He tried to pour a quart by himself and drink it.

He took hand soap from a pump and lathered his hair.

My third artist child.

It's Not the End of the World....

This is the book one of my many "second mothers" gave to Jade this weekend for her 12th birthday. Probably not the way she wants to remember her birthday, as the weekend her mom moves her and her brothers to California because of divorce. But we are dealing the best we can. :) (kids, myself, and Bill)
We have had an incredible outpouring of service and help during this move, really incredible. I am overwhelmed at the thought of trying to express my gratitude. It's been awesome, truly. So, (positively) on to a new chapter in the Danielson family......

pictures....yeah, I know, it's been a while

While we were visiting my family, grandpa took Jade fishing on a private lake, she had a blast. Who wouldn't? Grandpas are the best!

AAAAANNDD here is "Potter". Yes, we did change his name...again. Poor guy is so confused when we call him. I'm sure he will figure it out eventually. He's a smart little guy. But Bill thought "Potter" would be more appropriate than "Clay"(even though clay IS my favorite thing in the world). "Clay" sounds so harsh, and I am a potter, so...his name is now Potter. Thanks Bill, that was thoughtful.

kind of like a furry caterpillar?
I NEVER EVER thought I would like a Pomeranian. I always thought they were too fluffy, too beige/brown, and too yappy. But I LOVE his colors, of course, since they ARE the colors of the clays I like to use. :) And he has such a sweet personality, super cuddly, doesn't bark that much (it's a mild bark), he is really growing on me.

What can I say, we are all in love. Now I just have to get over missing the other sweetheart we are "trying out" this weekend. We could only pick one, I'm not ready to handle 2 little dogs yet. But the other guy is SUCH a sweetie! I let the kids decide in the end, and they like Potter more, sadly, for the slightest differences. It really was a hard choice. *sigh*

big changes.....

I'll post pics and more info soon. We are moving, the kids and I are going to Stockton. Bill still has to work out loose ends here, and will get to Cali ASAP, although that might still be a while. We found an absolutely adorable family dog. Kids are excited about "Clay" and about living close to grandparents so grandpa can build them a fort and garden. We are planning on moving around Aug 15. K, that's it for now, love you all!

Jealous? Why.....no.

Forgot about these two. Josh, Jade, Eddie, and baby Lucas. Lindsay took them with her camera on the day they left for their new and wonderful life in San Fran.
*no, I am not even slightly green, just verde, thank you very much

*I miss you guys! It's just not the same with out cuddly Lucas in the state. Eddie asks about "baby Lucas" quite often. :(
What's so hot about San Francisco anyway!?! Honestly.... come on! :(
Oh ok, go ahead and have a cooler-than-Utah life. *sniff, sniff*

Not really catch-up......that's too overwhelming

Yeah....you probably thought I was going to play catch-up and post a ton of pictures of our adventures over the last few months. Nope, I'm tired, it's too much. :)
We have been hiking, playing games, eating sushi, sorting for upcoming garage sale, sno-cones and parks, summer school, road trips, being sick, bike rides, etc. Along with all the "life" stuff and life-changes that are not blog worthy, but takes up a great deal of time and energy too.
No, I am not following my dream of an art-filled summer, my studio is quite still at the moment. Now it needs cleaning so I can glaze work that my students and I did before school was out. Lots to do.
The kids and I are going home to sunny Cal next week, then the rest of our whirlwind summer continues until school starts. Two birthdays are coming up as well. I WILL do the birthday posts though, with the funny little questionnaires. :)
So here a two of my favorite. I honestly can't find the rest of the pictures since Bill rearranged our computer files. He is on a road trip at the moment, so the really cute past pics will have to wait. :)

lovely....just lovely. Really.

My sister-in-law, Lindsay, is brilliant. This is her way of sharing the recent happenings in our family. Enos is the only one who got it from us, so that makes me happy. I am not responsible for infecting anyone else. :)

My poor, sick, sleeping babies. I have never had ALL three sick at the SAME time before. It's just lovely.

I didn't think about this until after. Each picture tells a lot about them.
Eddie has his precious "thomas train pillow" and "soft blanket". That's all he needs in life, and it shows.
Josh looks like he is "in battle" sort of. Starwars is his life, and that too, shows.
Jade is a total tween, a little more stylish with colors, ipod neatly on the shelf, with her dad's stolen pillow. (she has an ongoing battle with her dad over particular bedding they think is better than others)
*i think we are at the tail end of being sick though, since it's been a week already. We better be.

You have to check out this site! I am in love with Milk Teef!

I will follow Ickle anywhere. He is the cutest!

Who has time to wait?

Eddie certainly doesn't. He took it upon himself to use the scissors. He just couldn't wait for us to give him a haircut. It's hard to tell, but he chopped off a chunk of his bangs.

Still so cute though! Ill post a pic after we buzz him.

CONGRATULATIONS JADE!!!!

Jade wrote a story for "Young Authors" at her school, and won first place in her class. The middle school director said it was an easy decition. It's titled "Lilly" and is the sweet story of a little orphan girl. (first half is 10 pgs long and could easily be a short novel if she chooses to develop it) Here is a peak at the opening paragraphs......

*She sat down slowly, not knowing what to do next. She was bored, lonely, silent, and wishing for a place of unexpected things, a place that she could call home. She looked up solemnly, noticed a loose stone in the floor of the cell kicked out of its place, and then continued to brood over not having a real home.
Suddenly she heard a faint jolt of a door opening then closing with a loud bang that echoed through the long corridor. She stood up hopefully; she knew that bang for only the man with food did that sort of slam. Instinctively, she stood up hastily, brushed off the straw that stuck to her like glue, and sprinted for the corner of her cell. When she had reached her destination, she hugged her knees tightly to her chest and waited. *

Pretty cool start eh? I know she is super talented with art, but I had no idea she also has a writers heart. She loved doing this, and we are encouraging her to write more often. If you want the whole story, let me know, I'll email it to you. She is also working on a painting for an art contest, I'll post both her and Josh's entries when they are done. :)

WAY TO GO JADE!!! WE LOVE YOU SWEETHEART!!!

GNO

Miss Jessica Lowe came here for a once-in-a-lifetime visit to Utah. We were honored. So I organized a GNO with some of our mutual sistas. (* but Amanda was sick with the flu, so she had to miss it :(

Miss Jessica herself, and the cutest twinners in the world, Stephanie Toland and Staci Martin.
At the movies, a teen-chic-flick of course.

Sisters....Jessica, me, Lindsay, Mica-dearest.

a couple group shots, I was talking to Bill during this first one. But it's a good shot of 3 sets of sisters, all connected in some way. I'll try to simplify it....
Staci, Steph, Jessica, Lindsay, me, Mica
Staci is Mica's sister-in-law, Steph is Staci's twin and a fellow artist/friend, Jessica is Lindsay's older sister who has a blog that is stalked by nearly everyone we know, Lindsay is our sister-in-law married to Enos, Mica and I are obviously sisters.

It was so much fun, I'm so glad Jess came to visit Lindsay and gave us a fabulous reason to plan the whole nite-out. And I'm so glad Staci was able to fly up just for the occasion. We need to do this more often ladies!

I'm just terrible at this....

I am having a really hard time keeping up with blogging, as well as taking any pictures of real worth for any particular activity.
I am taking a "get inspired" ceramic class at Red Kiln in SLC, and LOVING it! But it just added more to my life, more stuff to take me away from blogging. :b
Here are a few random pics, just to keep up on the little things the kids are doing.

Eddie refuses to use a 3 wheel scooter, ONLY a 2 wheel. I wonder why......

Just another really cute picture of Jade doing homework
self-explanatory

Jade had a double birthday party for two of her friends from church. She found out each of the girl's favorite animal, (and favorite color), and sketched each one.
