Edmund Cole..... sometimes I just wonder. I thought Joshua would be the death of me when he was a toddler.............. haha, I know better now. At least Josh was interested in real toys and the TV could babysit him for a while.
Eddie shows VERY LITTLE interest in children's toys, other than cars, blocks, and balls. He climbs EVERYTHING, "runs" most of the time, is ALWAYS getting into "toys" that are not meant to be toys. (ie. cabinets, bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, refrigerators, plants, ANYTHING not nailed down or tied shut). He has no fear, (very much like Josh), and if he is not getting into mischief, he is clinging to my leg begging for me to hold him or signing incessantly for something. He is still a mama's boy beyond my comprehension.
He loves fruit, not to eat, but to play with. I left the room and of course came back to him on the table, demolishing a poor, helpless, peach. We have had two trips to the Insta-Care clinic, he was running, (as usual), and fell into the stone hearth.......2 little stitches. Exactly one week later, he was running in our room and hit his head on our supposedly dull end table...........2 more little stitches on the other side.
And so it begins.......
This is one of his new and exciting skills. If the pantry door is not shut as tight as it can be, he will open it and enjoy the climb. I need to get a baby lock for that door that the other kids can open.
I am trying to find some refrigerator baby locks that actually work, he loves to get into the fridge and freezer. Anyone have any helpful hits? I also need to find some toys that he will play with, he is just not interested in anything he is supposed to be interested in! Unless it's a climbing toy, but who has room for a jungle-gym inside their house?
I remember Josh being like this, but it was later on, more in his twos, not at 18 mo. Life with boys.......... (Cortney, are you ever going to comment? you have 3 of the most "adventurous" boys I know, I need advice!)

Thats so crazy. I am glad my boys are not that crazy!!! :O) Landon is busy, but he loves his toys. He likes to climb too but not nearly as adventurous as Eddie. :O) He is a doll I love the pictures
Whew, I feel tired from just reading that! Scary to know that we have no choice but to go THROUGH these stages! There's no running and hiding as I often want to do.
Oh the joy's! Jordan was the same way but is has totally slowed down and is very cautious now.
I'm glad that Mica made the cookies. I have been thinking about you and that I needed to bring you some. I still need to get with you on the bookmarks for my YW...
Jackson is getting into everything too! I am soo happy he isn't climbing though like Eddie... Good luck with that!!!
Looking at that first picture of Eddie, you can see the mischief forming in his head. I wish I had some advice but Calvin's not quite there yet. Alexandra on the other hand is my compulsive clothes changer. 7-10 outfits a day and she does it so sneakily. One min. she's wearing one dress, we don't even notice she's gone and out comes something just different enough to think, "Wait, were you wearing that a min. ago?" I just have to remind myself to breathe.
*nod* paul was really....i don't want to use the word 'bad'...because it's not...but...you know. at least eddie stays in the house...my mom and i drove home one day, when dad was supposed to be watching paul and found the cops circling the neighborhood...paul had taken off on his tricycle to heaven knows where...shortly after that he took a hammer to a toilet (where do they think up these things!?). keith has his moments as well. if you have any suggestions for dealing with liquids/ointments/etc...that seems to be keith's 'thing'. i don't know if your mother told you...i'm so grateful she called right after i found him...telling her what he did made me laugh...and i need it...anyway...he smeared vasoline all over my sheets and pillows...then there were vasoline-y footprints leading to all the doorknobs he tried to open unsuccessfully with his vasoline-y hands. *sigh*. just know that there is DEFINATELY a special place in heaven for mother's of little boys!!! i love you guys so much...i sure wish we lived closer!!!! *hugs*
I have a feeling Henry is going to be just like that! He is so busy I have to keep a constant eye on him. I'm just glad he can't reach door handles yet.
whew, so this is what i have to look forward to, huh? haa! but you have to admit that smile kinda melts you, doesn't it? hard to get mad at someone so cute!
that pantry pic is freakin hilarious, what a little devil!!! i love it!! he's too cute to get mad at tho, it makes u just wanna kiss him more!

Dearest daughter, did you know that it's genetic? Heehee! You may have forgotten but one day your brother Ammon ran into the house on Royal Oaks, and announced that your little brother 18 month old Ira, had climbed up the jungle gym and crossed the top which was attached to the roof of the house and yes he was happily sitting on the roof. Fortunately your dad arrived home from work to climb up and rescue your brother who was not distressed at all. I can't say the same for his mother! I wish you the best my darling. I pray for my granchildren daily.
